Schneider Electric Recognized as the World’s Most Sustainable Company by TIME and Statista

PARIS – June 25, 2025 – Schneider Electric, a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has once again been recognized as the World’s Most Sustainable Company for 2025 by TIME Magazine and Statista. This marks the second consecutive year the company has secured the top spot in the prestigious ranking of the world’s 500 most sustainable companies.

The recognition highlights Schneider Electric’s consistent strides toward achieving its own sustainability targets and its broader mission to support customers in improving energy efficiency and lowering emissions. The company remains transparent in reporting its progress against bold climate goals, which include a 25% absolute carbon reduction across its value chain by 2030, and reaching net-zero CO₂ emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. Guiding this mission is its SBTi-validated Schneider Sustainability Impact 2021–2025 (SSI) program, which serves as a roadmap for driving sustainable outcomes not just internally, but also for its partners, clients, and the communities it serves.

“We are deeply honored to be named the world’s most sustainable company for a second year in a row,” said Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric. “Our purpose is to deliver efficiency and sustainability as a trusted partner. Sustainability is embedded in everything we do—from our operations to our partnerships. As an Impact Company, we drive performance with purpose, and we aim to make a meaningful difference throughout our ecosystem.”

The TIME and Statista ranking assessed 5,700 companies using 20 key performance indicators, ultimately recognizing 500 global leaders in sustainability. Evaluation criteria included Scope 1 and 2 emissions, energy consumption in proportion to company size, renewable energy usage, emissions reduction performance, and third-party sustainability ratings. It also considered corporate transparency, environmental and social practices, and public commitments to sustainability.

Adding to its accolades, Schneider Electric was also named the World’s Most Sustainable Corporation 2025 by Corporate Knights, becoming the only company to earn the top spot in its Global 100 ranking twice. It was also recognized as the Most Sustainable Corporation in both Europe and France by the same organization.
